Our Story


Since 1999 we have baked for Vancouver's top chefs and restaurants. Our wholesale business, Chef´s Oven Bakery & Deli, specializing in handmade, traditional artisan baking, is still thriving, serving top restaurants and discerning customers.
Every day, we bake fresh, handmade bread, pastries, and cakes as well as our carefully-sourced house-made Deli. We take immense pleasure in using the best ingredients we can find for food and seasonal ingredients from trusted suppliers.
Though we've continued to grow over the years, our philosophy has stayed the same: to make good food that people love. We enjoy daily chats with our regular customers, many of whom have been with us since the beginning, and we hope you will join us soon.

 

Our Passion


We believe in the power of good bread. Our menu and community have grown alongside us, but our values remained the same. We take the time to make our bread, pastries, cakes, and Deli the way we've always done it – with care, by hand, and in-season – so we don't have to compromise on what we eat.
We recognize the power of community, helping our neighbors, and living as sustainably as we can. We insist on the finest ingredients and support small businesses wherever possible. 
We believe in making homemade sweets from scratch, just like our grandparents did. Always made with fresh ingredients, preferably local and mostly organic, in small batches, and, most importantly, ready to eat right away. That means fresh ingredients, no preservatives or additives, and no large machines doing the work that two lovely hands do best.
Chef´s Oven Bakery and Deli is a trip back in time, when things were simpler, less processed, and tasted authentic and pleasing. Tell us what you want and don't want in your baked goods. We will do our best to meet your requests by sourcing ingredients for you.
